The 814 G-Series tyre changer is one of the most advanced tyre changers on the market.
We’ve taken everything that made its predecessors so well loved by the tyre industry and developed it. The 814 features the smaller chassis from the 813 compact, we’ve added an additional help arm, a steel front panel for improved durability, plus Pedal Inflation, and our new ‘Dual Control Bead Breaker!
Of course, the advanced features of the megamount 813 continue to feature, including the patented Par-Move parallelogram technology and QuadraClamp 4 cylinder turntable.
This exceptional Dual Force bead breaker design feature gives the user the option to use a rocker-pedal located in the traditional position, or a thumb control in order to operate the bead breaker, giving full control of the shovel. The movement can be stopped and started at any position, unlike the traditional piston-type bead breaker which is forced to travel fully in and out.
The 814 G-Series features a fixed, cylindrical turret made from heavy duty gauge steel, mounted on a re-enforced chassis, giving more precision and eliminating the movement introduced in traditional tilt-back machines. The automatic operation and performance of a tilt-back model is provided through the 'loved by many' ‘Par-Move’ parallelogram design feature, for managing the ‘demount head’, giving both ‘up’ and ‘away’ clearance from the rim at the press of a button.
Anybody who remembers the parallelogram arm design of the 'Butler' machines of the '90s may well harbour fond memories of its ease of use. However, they might also have the odd nightmare about its contact with the rim despite the plastic demount tool.
Well, the 814 takes that exceptionally strong parallel design but offers the automatic 'locking' of a traditional machine, ensuring that the head is never at any point in contact with the rim. The 814 is supplied as standard with the patented ‘QR’ quick release system, which enables the demount heads to changed over from the standard steel head to plastic, or ‘raised spoke’ heads but, if you go for the optional classic (and still the best) leverless operation, you might just have the ultimate method for cost-effective, damage-free fitting and removal.
Other notable features include the patented QuadraClamp 4 cylinder turntable and 'IntelliPro' dual assist arm system which gives us the simplest, most effective, and most ergonomic twin-assist arm design we have ever produced since we invented this (much copied, never quite equalled) design some 20 years ago.
